The sword is exceptionally displayed on the included wooden frame. This sword can rightfully be called a showpiece and is an asset to your interior. It comes with a walnut finish plaque; for mounting. The 24 carat gold plated plaque at the bottom of the display unit is inscribed: Epee de Ceremonie de l' Empereur Napoleon. That translates as: The Ceremonial Sword of Emperor Napoleon.
The blade is 27" long with a spear point by 7/8" wide and 3/16" deep with overall length including grip of 34". Representing the Court Sword of 1809. The hilt shows signs discoloration on both sides. The gilt brass plate at the bottom still has the protective plastic covering on it. Wooden plaque has a few scratches and dings. Missing one cushion peg on the bottom backside of plaque. In overall good condition for a Vintage piece. There are a few places on the blade that has chips of the color missing on top. OVERNIGHT and 2ND DAY AIR available at buyers expense.
